I have hard time leaving the house without a slick of make-up on. On the barest of days I'll at least have to put on some eyeliner, mascara and gloss, but I really want to get to a point where I can go without a thing and not feel the least bit self conscious.

Well, I found some pictures of celebrities baring their faces and I have to say, this has not helped one bit. Granted, these ladies are beautiful in their own right, and to say the least, the pictures don't capture their best angles but jeez, these pics really do attest to the power of a good make up application.

Recognize them?

  1. I think I should also try doing make up. If it works for so many, I doubt it would backfire on me. Cheers. I've been on this blog twice now and am loving it.

  2. Trust, I love my MAC as much as the next girl. But I spent the last year living in Coasto, where it was hot and humid every day, a disaster for make up. So go got used to baring it all, and now that I'm back in Nai I'm reluctant to get out the artillery again. I think a good skin care regimen can take the place of foundation. Then you can concentrate on the makeup that's "less bad" for your skin eg mascara, eyeshadow, lip colors.

  3. Thanks Maddie, glad you like the blog, and go ahead with the make-up, it's super fun, just make sure you learn your skin tone and which bits of make-up work best for you. :-D

Furahaproject, I've been trying exactly that, to sort of wean myself off the makeup....lately I've become a Foundation, Blush, Bronzer, Highlighter, Mascara, Eyeliner, Eyeshadow type of girl and one day as I was getting ready for work I just started laughing, wondering if I go out looking ridiculous without knowing it. But I have began to sort of just take it easy, leave the "artillery' to special occasions....and I'm slowly taking to it.

    Welcome back to Nairobi!!

  4. I have never been on that make-up tip, even with modeling and all, I'm always running around bare! Granted my mother swung some great genes my way, so I've never felt the need, I just think of it as letting my skin breathe. I'm soon putting up a post on skincare, so look out for that ;-D

  5. The presence of makeup does not make someone more attractive in the eyes of people because we must be clean and beautiful from the inside.
